FWAA Scholarship Program
DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO APRIL 12TH, 2024
The Far West Agribusiness Association scholarship program has been designed to provide outstanding high school and collegiate undergraduate students of our members with a chance to pursue their educational goals in college. There will be two selection pools, one for graduating high school seniors and one for current college students. Scholarships are one year long and will be awarded no less than $1,500 per student. The quantity and value of the scholarships awarded will be at the scholarship committee’s discretion.
The scholarship application process opens at the beginning of the year and closes April 12, 2024. The scholarship committee reviews the applications and selects the recipients in May. Winners of the scholarship will have their funds sent to their schools/colleges in August. 100% of the scholarship golf tournament proceeds fully fund the future scholarship program.
Eligibility Requirements
Applications must be submitted online in 2024.
- FWAA members pursuing a degree from a college or university in the United States
- Children and grandchildren of FWAA members or FWAA staff pursuing a degree from a college, university, or trade school in the United States
- Spouse of FWAA member pursuing a degree from a college or university in the United States
- Legal Dependent of FWAA member
Each submission must include the following for consideration:
Completed online application form
Upload of Resume (no more than two pages)
Upload of Transcript(s) (official transcripts are required if selected for the award)
Upload two (2) Letters of Recommendation from non-relatives
One academic, one supervisor and/or one character reference
2 Part Essay
