Although most applicators' are well-versed in handling agricultural chemicals, they must also be prepared for the worst. Spills can be minor problems with a leaking container or equipment malfunction, but the complexity of a chemical spill remains the same. No matter the problem's minor, the spill could seriously affect public health and environmental quality. We want you to be prepared for a pesticide spill and learn how to handle hazardous chemicals adequately.
Far West Agribusiness Association offers an Annual Ag Chem Spill training, including the initial training and refresher courses (8-hour and 24-hour) in various locations. Our safety and regulatory pillars are crucial to your company's success and your employees' safety. Wyatt Croft, with Bingham Co-op, is the Eastern Idaho Ag Chem Spill trainer.
In the event, you can't do the training in February. We have training at Western Laboratories on March 1st and March 2nd. Click the button below to register for the March training.
Each year we provide Ag Chem Spill Response Training and Anhydrous Ammonia training to our member companies throughout the regions of western Oregon, Treasure Valley, and Eastern Idaho and Tri-cities. If you have any questions or general inquiries, don't hesitate to contact Susan Reed at admin@fwaa.org.
